Slacking off on the blog has been a bit of a dissapointment for us. Kate has been advancing so we'll try to better about capturing it here. Now that she's a few weeks from reaching five months, her personality is really starting to form. Some Kate factoids of recent days:
- Much to our extreme gratitude, Kate likes her sleep, at least at night. Naps at daycare are still very sporadic, but she's been on a roll with 12-hour marathons overnight. Mom and Dad are much more rested and thankful for this.
- Grabbing is big now. Kate grabs the hanging toys on her Bobby chair, grabs the glasses off Stacey's face, grabs her books and toys, and will grab your face (eyes, lips, nostrils) for lack of anything else to grab. She's really making the connection with the ol' hand-eye coordination. Maybe we'll start her on Nintendo Wii next month. :)
- Dill. The new love of her life. Until the past week, Kate would rarely look at Dill, but not any more. If he's in the room, she's looking at him and signaling she wants to be closer. If we do put her closer, she likes to rub his head, grab his ears, and even give him a smooch. It's pretty funny. Dill, to his credit, is very patient being poked and prodded. When he gets tired of it, he simply moves away.
The other big news of the weekend was that Kate rolled over to her stomach, played a few minutes and managed to roll back when she was ready. Soon we'll need to have this place baby proofed.
Kate is so beautiful!!! what a wonderful blog.
