It took 4 winters, but we finally got some snow in Seattle. It snowed about 3 inches Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon. You East Coasters will scoff at the piddling total, but it has grinded the city to a complete halt.
There are apparently no plows or even shovels, so both the sidewalks and streets are already coated with thick layers of ice. My attempt to drive to work was thwarted when my car did a complete 360 down a hill. We both worked at home yesterday. This shot is of Stacey on our walk to get some lunch. Thankfully, Buckley's was open so we enjoyed some hot food before trudging back home where the heat was on full blast.
Kevin is due into town for the weekend. Tomorrow we have a great college bball game just up the street at Key Arena and then Sunday Kevin and I are going to the Jets-Seahawks game where it will either be a blizzard or a freezing rain storm. Good times!
Meanwhile, Stacey is supposed to leave for Richmond tomorrow night but predicted bad weather in the NY area may scuttle that plan. We'll see.
